![]() Here I am shortly after investing in my first 'real computer,' and Apple IIe. It sported some really sexy features...like 128 whole KILOBYTES of RAM, TWIN (that's right I had TWO of them) 143 KILOBYTE floppy disk drives, a high end monochrome monitor that was actually capable of displaying GRAPHICS, and a high speed Epson Dot Matrix printer. I was in HEAVEN! I mean, this was the cutting edge! But really, this was a great start in the world of personal computing. Next in line, a few years later, was a Mac Plus shortly after they hit the street, with a HUGE 20 MEGABYTE hard drive...I thought I would NEVER fill that baby. For the record...the 16-bit, 600 dpi scanned version of this image weighs in at 34 megabytes ... that's right, just ONE file today would have filled nearly two of those 20 MB drives, and who knows how many of those 143 KB floppies!
