![]() I believe from the context that this was taken at the James Anderson Blacksmith Shop where I directed archaeological excavation for Colonial Williamsburg back in the mid-70's. Here I am pondering the meaning of the profile left in the balk between excavation units. Only another archaeologist (or perhaps a geologist) can fully appreciate the information that can be garnered from such study.
