 I cannot place this picture with any exactness. I lived in eastern Virginia and parts of northeast North Carolina for many years where such roadside swamps are really pretty common. As I was passing through old slides a few months ago, I picked this out of the masses of others for some good reason ... a reason that subsequently slipped my mind. I scanned and processed it and it has been in my 'to post' folder ever since. While I have many others that tell more poignant stories of my life (the intended purpose of this site), I decided a Saturday post would not disrupt the chain too much.
