 Because these are the same studio, my guess is this was taken the same time as yesterday's post. I wonder if anyone can shed a light on the practive in the 19th and early 20th centuries of posing young boys in dresses. I have seen this in many other shots from the period, so there must be some sort of cultural explanation. Did boys wear dresses?
