![]() Sometime in 1978 or thereabouts, a couple of my housemates came home from shopping all smiles and laughing. They pulled from their shopping bag an eggplant that was the spitting image of Richard Nixon. The sign being held by friend Stacey, which is too blown out to read, says 'The Richard M. Nixon Memorial Eggplant.' I believe this ex-presidential vegetable became a parmesan in retirement. I began the task of sorting my father's slides today. I am overwhelmed by the magnitude of the task. There are 26 rotary slide trays, each with 100 slides. Subjects vary a good bit and I want to be sure to get a sampling of everything. The earliest tray dates from the summer of 1970...the earlier material having been culled out several years ago. Somewhere, I am not sure where, the ones we pulled from those earlier shots have been preserved. Just need to find out where we stored them!
