![]() Perhaps it is because my office is right under this stretch of elevated highway. Or maybe because I see something in these massive concrete pillars that support the daily commuters without their conscious knowledge. Or it could be because of the special feeling evoked by the late afternoon light. Whatever it is, I do have a fascination with this sort of 'behind the scenes' kind of shot. Reminds me of the great book by David Macauley, Underground, that shows us all the wonderful things that go on beneath the surface to keep things running. Things people never give a second thought until whatever it is simply does not work any longer. Like having no water. Or no phones. I am almost to the end of my working ordeal. One project finished today and sent out. Three more to follow soon, Putting final touches on them between now and Friday. I selected this great shot of one of the Washington DC Metro stops (Foggy Bottom) for my Pic of the Day. Hope you enjoy it. | |
