Bourbon St. Stroll
EXIF: SONY DSLR-A700 | 1/320 sec | f 4.5 | 35.0mm (35mm equivalent: 52.0mm) | ISO 1600

There are places around the world where regular folks (interpret that however you choose) are able to drop their usual hang ups about sex and sexuality. Not too many such places in the states, but certainly one of most well known such place is Bourbon St. in New Orleans. My work takes me down that way a few times a year. It is a different sort of place. The strange conglomeration of fine dining next to street vendors, wonderful music filling the streets from one bar while the one next door has practically naked women on the street enticing all to slip inside for a real show.

Perhaps on one of these trips I'll travel with someone who has the curiosity to take one of these women up on the offer. Ha! As it is, I've walked this strip probably a dozen times over the years (going back to my first visit in the late 70s) and have yet to do more than stroll and watch the people and marvel at the clashing dichotomies of American values.
