I get up to Oakwood Cemetery in Troy from time to time. It is a great place to explore a lot of different things, like nineteenth century burial practices, exquisite view of the Hudson and Mohawk valleys, wildlife, and interesting vegetation. This shot falls into the latter category. Shot taken during a walk with a local historian who shared a lot of interesting information about this great rural cemetery. Many locally famous people buried here and, as mentioned elsewhere, also the final resting place of the actual Uncle Sam.
