 This was taken many months ago at the Photo Center. This is local photographer Doug Mitchell waiting for his model to get ready for a shoot. I spent a very disheartening past few hours going back through the last year's worth of photographs trying to select a handful that I might be able to use in a calendar. I am not at all happy with the current state of my photography. Since last January I have taken many thousand photos, but from those I could not for the life of me find even 12 that I liked enough for to make a twelve month calendar. Perhaps I am judging too harshly, but I fear not. I haven't done any serious shooting for a long time. I am uninspired by most of my usual subjects. ... I am in a deep and dark rut. So, I think I am going to take a break from posting for a while... at least until I am happier with the results I am getting when I do shoot. But then, I have been posting daily for so long that I suspect I will be drawn back to it sooner rather than later. | |
