EXIF: SONY DSLR-A700 \| 1/40 sec \| f 5.6 \| 100.0mm (35mm equivalent: 150.0mm) \| ISO 800 Well, tonight's post represents one of those special milestones in the life of a photoblog. This is the 1000th post on forgingahead! To 'celebrate' this event, I offer a sample of 25 of those 1000 posts as a special album. Many thanks to all who have visited over the nearly three years I have been trying to keep this site alive. Some days it is tough, other time I have a backlog to pull from. I keep plugging away and have no plans to let up anytime soon. In a few weeks, forgingahead turns 3, and moves on into its fourth year.

forgingahead represents my attempts to tap a creative element within myself. I live and work in the Capital District area of New York State and wander the urban, suburban, and rural areas in search of visual inspiration.

I shoot mostly digital but do still pop a roll of film from time to time. I process my own B&W film (120 and 35mm) which I am scanning with an Epson Perfection 3170 scanner.
