![]() Well, I had planned to post something a bit different tonight, but all the shots I had ready were old and I opted for a shot taken today during our evening messy snowstorm. Unlike the storm a few days ago, this one was heavy and I am sure my friend Kristine, who works on the Grounds crew at the State University in Albany, will be soaking in a hot bath after shoveling this slop! My large format printer arrived today and I had to completely rearrange my workspace. I am keeping my older printer for utility printing, but the new Epson 1400 will help to launch me into making prints for presentation purposes. Who knows, maybe I will even enter a few in some upcoming shows/competitions. At the cost of ink for this printer, only deserving photos will get printed. But I am happy to have the option of printing on up to 13x19 paper. I just noticed that the '35mm equivalent' calculation from the EXIF data for the F20 seems a bit twisted. 8mm is shown as equivalent to 170mm on a 35mm. Yesterday's image says equivalent to about 350mm. Hardly. I don't know what 'crop factor' applies to these itsy little sensors and their equally small lenses, but surely 170 mm for the widest setting is not even in the right ballpark. | |
