![]() Taken last weekend while on a walk around the Vischer Ferry Nature Preserve. I was shooting mostly with my Sigma 70-210 and found that my general fears were confirmed. This is not the right lens for shooting sharp pictures. I am beginning to search for a better lens or lenses to improve the overall quality of my telephoto shots. The weather surprised us all around Albany today. With predictions for a weekend of rain, I was pleasantly awakened by a sunny blue sky, so I was able to meet with one of our local photo group at the annual Albany Tulip Festival. We met some interesting folks and took bunches of shots. They will find there way here in the next few weeks. My companion site Scanning My Life is on a brief hiatus. I am up to my eyeballs in work in preparation for a major presentation on Monday and a 10 day vacation starting Thursday. (Why is that we often have to work an extra week to get ready for a week of vacation?) While I have a backlog of scanned shots, I just don't have the time to prepare decent posts from them. | |
