Anchor
EXIF: KONICA MINOLTA MAXXUM 5D | 1/30 sec | f 6.3 | 210.0mm (35mm equivalent: 315.0mm) | ISO 100

One effect of getting the scanner is that I all of a sudden have more material than I know how to handle. The retrospective site Scanning My Life will never be lacking for something to post. This site, however can get touch and go from time to time. Fortunately I have been able to recharge it a bit in the last week and we are beginning to make plans for group outings with Albanyshooters, so I am confidant I will have the material I ned to keep the ball rolling.

I remember from my Navy days the statement, 'if it doesn't move, paint it gray.' I did my share of scraping and painting, so I can appreciate the effort taken to maintain the nice paint job on this anchor, which is part of the USS Slater, the Destroyer Escort I pictured a few weeks ago. It has been moved back to it's summer berth in Albany and is ready for regular tours. Something to do one weekend this summer.
