![]() Each day for two months, this was my commute to work. A long dusty ride in the back of pick up truck winding our way along sugar cane fields and small villages of sunbaked bricks. This was a morning commute. Usually the road was fairly empty at the early hour we traveled to the site, trying to beat the heat of the day. We left the field by 1 or 2 in the afternoon. By then the villages were alive with the comings and goings of daily life. This was an anonymous (to me) village along the west bank of the Nile north of the City of Idfu. Today I started a new blog to feature the scans I have been doing of my personal slides from years back and to begin posting some of my father's work as well. I hope you will drop over and give the new site a look. Not much there yet, but starting tomorrow, this site will be devoted to new material while the other site will be for scans from my past, thus its name: Scanning My Life. | |
