I was not going to post this picture because it is so difficult to figure out and the highlights are totally blown out. But today was strange and the message I found inside a tunnel along the trail I walked Sunday morning helped to get me through some rough spots today.

It all started first thing this morning. I got up, turned on my computer, went to the kitchen to make a pot of coffee, and returned to the computer ready to check my mail and then begin my morning stroll through all my favorite blogs. Then in a flash, the power was gone. No storm. No wind. Just no power. A quick check out the window confirmed that it was not just my place. After about an hour or so, I gave up and packed myself for the office and went to a diner for breakfast.

At work, it was just one crisis after another. Before I knew it, it was nearly 2 PM and I had not even begun the PowerPoint presentation for my Friday meeting and had no lunch. I managed to get my lunch -- even took some pictures -- and dived into my presentation, getting it done around 7 pm and coming home. Power was back on and a quick check of Bloglines showed that I had a backlog of 268 pictures to look at!!! And over 50 emails to answer!!! Arrgghhh!

But you see, I faced the day with a smile, thanks to the scrawled message I found among the usual graffiti on the inside of the corrugated pipe that carries the Bike Trail beneath a road.

All in all, it was really a pretty good day!
