![]() As I promised, I have a few shots from my NYC excursion taken with the Welta Weltax. Unfortunately, I am pretty much convinced the camera is flawed. I was very careful this time with focus but still all of the images suffer from poor focus. Now, there are many people out there who may find this 'flaw' to be charming. I am not one of them. I wanted to shoot medium format for its sharpness, not for the toy camera effect. I am paying over $12 a roll for processing and low res scans (good enough for the web). It is just too expensive when I can only use one or two images per roll. So... I am putting the camera on the shelf until I can get myself a scanner and do my own -- or find that used Hasselblad at a garage sale for $10!! Ha! (I can dream can't I?) Anyway, this twisty tree is located right next to Cleopatra's Needle (the Egyptian Obelisk I wrote about a few weeks ago) behind the Metropolitan Museum of Art. | |
