![]() I beat my work deadline by about 12 hours! And was able to return home and begin to catch up on what is going on in the photoblog-world. I uncorked a bottle of Bloodstone Shiraz from the Heritage Road vineyard in South Eastern Australia and have been relaxing while enjoying the daily posts. This shot was taken last night after I left the office around 10pm. I was actually after an entirely different subject, but turned around and saw this abandoned church that I have shot before without much success. Problem with this shot -- at least I think it is a problem -- is that it is out of focus. I had the camera on manual focus and could not tell when I had it right. But when I looked at it, I was quite taken with the overall mood of the shot... and I hope you are too. UPDATE FRIDAY MORNING It seems that Australia has played such a major role in my personal life for the past four months that it was not too surprising that eventually one of the many Australian blogs that I visit daily would catch my attention. I have been watching Gary's site Image.a.Nation for quite a while. He has shown me so much about the life and wildlife in Western Australia that sometimes I get complacent in how I react to his magnificant images. But this morning he caught me offguard with this spectacular shot of a bird in flight, titled 'Flight study. Who could ask for more? WOW!! ![]() | |
